There was a time when I was having a blueberry smoothie on a daily basis. When I love something, I love it so hard that I just have it ALL the time, for a time.

And then something happened, I dunno like maybe the price of blueberries skyrocketed or something and I sort of forgot about it for a while.

Well….this old love has been revived I tell ya! I made this smoothie the other day and it was so good I knew I had to share the recipe.

And then, blueberries are just so good for you too, and that’s just a fabulous bonus.

In truth this smoothie is just packed with the health promoting goodies.

You’re going to love how nutritious and delicious this smoothie is, not to mention how easy it is to make, with just 4 ingredients providing all the flavor this smoothie requires!

And if you love a good smoothie then try our kale smoothie and our cherry smoothie too.

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make This Smoothie:

Ingredients needed to make blueberry smoothies.

    Ingredient Notes

    • Almond butter – can be replaced with any other nut butter such as peanut butter or cashew butter.
    • Almond milk – can be replaced with any other non-dairy milk such as soy milk, cashew milk, oat milk or whatever you have on hand.
    • Frozen blueberries – are great to keep this smoothie ice cold. You can of course use fresh blueberries if you happen to have them on hand, but then you may want to blend in some ice so that you keep the smoothie nice and cold.
    • Banana – should be ripe and delicious. You can also use frozen banana. If you want your smoothie to be thicker, then feel free to add more banana!

    Recipe Tips

Sweetness factor. Taste test and see if it’s sweet enough for you. If not, feel free to add some maple syrup to sweeten it up.

Servings. This recipe can make one large serving or two smaller servings. Depends on how big your appetite is at breakfast!

Decorating. Top it with fresh mint leaves for a seriously good looking morning drink.

Storing. It’s not ideal for storing as the fresh fruits will oxidize. So it’s ideal to serve this immediately for the best freshest tasting smoothie.
