Pumpkin smoothie in a glass topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice.

Fancy a slice of pumpkin pie but not in the mood for baking? This pumpkin pie smoothie is for you.

Yes, it’s like pumpkin pie in a glass.

You get the taste and the enjoyment without even having to switch your oven on. Woohoo!

This smoothie is velvety smooth, ice-cold and refreshing and combines the best fall flavors in a glass. It takes 5 minutes to prepare and gets its wonderful flavor from pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, maple syrup and almond milk.

If you love smoothies then also check out our awesome kale smoothie (that seriously tastes like a milkshake) and carrot cake smoothie! And if you love pumpkin drinks then our pumpkin spice latte is right up your street.

    • Serve!

    Ingredient Notes

Frozen banana: I recommend you always have some frozen bananas on hand, that way you can make all sorts of awesome smoothies. Whenever you have ripe bananas on hand, peel them, break them into quarters and freeze them in a freezer bag. That way you are always set for any smoothie craving that comes your way.

And if you’re not a huge banana fan, never fear! You really can’t taste the banana flavor once it’s blended with other flavors. Frozen bananas just add the most wonderful texture and base to a smoothie.

Pumpkin Pie Spice: If you don’t have a store-bought pumpkin pie spice blend then you can make up your own using our homemade pumpkin pie spice recipe.

Almond Milk: We used almond milk in this smoothie but any non-dairy milk will work fine. If you’re using coconut milk then a low fat/light version tends to work better otherwise the smoothie can be too thick.

Pumpkin Purée: You can use any pumpkin purée in this recipe, canned or fresh.

Almond Butter: The flavor of almond butter complements this smoothie perfectly! But feel free to substitute any other nut butter of your choice.

This was delicious. I didn’t have almond butter and thought peanut butter might be a little too peanuty, so I used the sunbutter we keep for allergy-free sandwiches for my son’s school and it was perfect. I cut back the maple syrup to 2 TB because the sun butter is sweetened a little bit. My 5-year old loves it and so do I!5 stars

Oh my goodness! I fully expected the bananas to overtake this smoothie (as they have a tendency to do) but this tastes just like pumpkin pie! I used oat milk and added in a small handful of rolled oats to make it a bit more filling for breakfast. So good!5 stars

So so good, and a seasonally perfect addition to my smoothie rotation. I just added a generous pinch of salt (for balance) and a TBSP of toasted whole flaxseed (for substance, almost like crispy bits of pie crust). Thanks!5 stars

Loving it Vegan for the win! My husband and I went to the pumpkin patch over the weekend and scored a massive pumpkin. We were at a loss as far as what to do with SO MUCH PUMPKIN! Lucky for us we also scored a great deal on bananas at the grocery store, too. This smoothie really hit the spot (and used up some of our excess produce!) We both love making smoothies any time of year. For us it is a great way to get all our fruits and veggies in a delicious way. My husband prefers to eat vegan, and he also juices and drinks smoothies for weight loss. He is always on the hunt for new recipes to try, so we are so glad we found this festive fall recipe. Four thumbs up from us. Thanks again!5 stars
